George Hill Signs 5 Year Deal With the Indiana Pacers

George Hill Resigns With Indiana Pacers

According to Mike Wells from the Indianapolis Star, restricted free agent George Hill has signed a 5-year deal with his current team, the Indiana Pacers. The financial terms of the contract is not known at this time.

With just a couple of days into the NBA free agency period, the Pacers were able to lock up an important piece of their team; one that took the NBA champions, Miami Heat to Game 7 in this year’s Eastern Conference Semi-final.

In the playoffs, Hill averaged 13.5 PPG and 2.9 APG. During the regular season he averaged 13.9 PPG as well as 5.3 APG last season.

With Hill’s signing, the Pacers can now focus on their other free agent, Roy Hibbert. The phenomenal center was offered a five-year, $58-million contract on Sunday by the Portland Trailblazers. Because Hibbert is a restricted free agent, the Pacers will have 3 days after Hibbert signs the offer sheet to decide if they want to match Portland’s offer.
