The wait is over for the Kobe 9‘s and we finally get to see the official look. These are going to be a hot commodity when they hit the stores next February, so you all better start saving up.
The first impression of the Kobe 9 is that it is somewhat similar to a boxing shoe. Did Kobe go back to the high top style because of his Achilles injury? The shoe features Nike Flyknit, Flywire and Lunarlon technology and should be a joy to hoop in.
As far as design, the shoe looks really good and no wonder they went with the tagline, “Where design meets art”. It’s innovative and a lot of work went it the overall look and feel of the shoe.
According to Kobe
“I draw inspiration from where I am as a player, as a person, and where my career is at this moment. I’m trying to do something that the majority of people think is impossible to do,” Kobe reflected when asked about the inspiration for his latest shoes and about getting back into the game. “I let my emotions out when I step on the basketball floor, it’s always been my escape, and these shoes will touch a nerve on the court in the same way I do.”
These shoes will be released on February 8, 2014 and we will keep you up-to-date once we get more information.
