Ever since Chris Paul went down with his injury, Blake Griffin has been on a tear. He has proven that he is more than just a walking highlight reel and he has official put the league on notice showing that he has arrived.
Blake had a sit down with Fox Sport where he was asked his thoughts about doing the dunk competition again, as well as who was the best power forward in the league
What will it take for you to get back in the dunk contest, will it be a check? You have nothing to prove, you jumped over a Kia for crying out loud…Would you ever just do it for fun or is it going to take a check to get the real stars like you and LeBron (James) back in the dunk contest?
Griffin: “No, I don’t think it would take big prize money. The format would definitely have to be different. I thought that this (years) format wasn’t very good. It wasn’t very entertaining it and it didn’t give the guys a chance to do what they really wanted. It’s not going to take a lot. It just has to be the right time, right opportunity”.
Who is the best power forward in the NBA?
Griffin: “Whenever you are in a race or competitive environment you have to believe in yourself. I feel like I can compete with the rest of the guys in the league at the four spot. You can make a case for a lot of guys, but I believe in myself”.
You’re very humble and I know there are a lot of great power forwards, especially in the west. But, for the sake of my show, I’ll ask you again…you can can say me, and I’ll just play it on a loop….Who is the best power forward in the NBA?
Griffin: “I’ve got to go with myself!”
